Ok, so maybe it's not so much a picture of a beach bum, but it is my friend Will, waking up on the beach the morning after a drunken camp out. Our entire weather flight got together and took a trip over to Kaneohe. We got a pontoon boat, and went out to the sand bar for the day. Then we came back, set up out tents, started a fire, and drank a lot of beer.

I of course stayed sober enough to be sure I could still work my camera.

This particular image was made with my Tonkina 17mm prime, stopped down to F11, with a shutter speed of 1/160sec

One of many, many picture I took while I lived in Hawaii. But I gotta tell you, now that I've moved, I definitely regret all the times I didn't take my camera out and get more. There's no place like Hawaii for beautiful scenic shots.

Back when we were living in Hawaii, we had the opportunity to attend a couple of luaus. This one at Paradise Cove, in Ko Olina, was probably the most "touristy" of the ones we attended ... lol, and the price certainly reflected it ... but we did have a good time.

This picture was taken when we first arrived at the luau, as people were exploring the area, and getting settled in. The main feature of the image, is the nice rainbow that had formed over the mountains in the background. Obviously I have many more pictures from this luau; unfortunately, that's one of the folders on my portable hard drive where 3/4 of the shots are still RAW unprocessed images.

Basically what I'm saying is that expect to see more Luau pictures in this category in the future.
